Welcome to PSPP 301: Procurement Practice – Putting it all Together.
Here is the information you need to get started in PSPP 301, running from Nov 14 – Dec 8, 2023. Please reply to this email as ‘RECEIVED’.
Please note, the 301 delivery model is DIFFERENT than the 200-level courses. Other than the mandatory Orientation Session on Day 1, there are NO weekly webinars. There is, however, a Discussion Forum that you will be participating in, along with two written assignments. Please review our Before You Begin document carefully to prepare for success! It will answer many of the common questions that arise and will provide you with details about the time commitments, assignment due dates, and discussion timelines. We look forward to seeing you online.

Forum Practice/Module Exploration
You are welcome to start exploring the material and getting acquainted with the technology before the course begins. One of the first things you can do is to see which cohort you are in: Cohort A or Cohort B. Be sure to move through the entire Discussion Forum in the Cohort you were assigned to. This includes the location where you perform all of your activities: creating your posts, responding to others, and posting your assignments in the Peer Review. Please do NOT post any comments to the weekly discussion forum yet; we want everyone to begin together when the discussions are scheduled to open. There is a practice area to use this week if you would like to get your feet wet and try posting.
Discussion Forum
40% of your mark is based on your participation in the discussion forums. Therefore, a large amount of your time will be spent participating in the threaded discussions. For more detailed information on the expectations and the marks breakdown for the course, please review your Before You Begin 301 document, section A. Overview of Course Components, and section E, Marking.
Written Assignments
60% of your mark is based on your written assignments. Please be sure to thoroughly review the Before You Begin 301 document before you begin the course to understand the expectations for the assignments and the Peer Review process. Please upload each of your assignments via the course portal by 5:00 PM PST. Please submit as a Word document for marking and making comments. The instructor will return your marked assignments by email, with comments as applicable.
